Pleasant View is the label the National Weather Service actually uses, and eleven severe storm records carry it since 2016. That is more than Golden, more than Edgewater and more than Wheat Ridge, which makes this small unincorporated strip along South Golden Road one of the better-documented hail addresses in the county despite having no town government at all.

The wind is on the record too. On 6 June 2020 a 55 mile per hour gust was measured under the Pleasant View label, part of the same outbreak that produced 61 miles per hour at Morrison and 68 at Columbine the same afternoon. On 14 August 2018 a 52 mile per hour gust was logged here as well.

Because the community is unincorporated, Jefferson County permits it from 100 Jefferson County Parkway in Golden.
